Carolina Catholic honors Pope Benedict XVI

For our first show in June, Carolina Catholic will honor the memory of our beloved Pope Benedict XVI as he is remembered by several who knew him or met him including these guests: Father Joseph Fessio, SJ, founder of Ignatius Press, who got his doctorate under the tutelage of then theologian and professor, Father Joseph Ratzinger; John Sonnen, Catholic pilgrimage guide, who met Pope Benedict eight times when John lived in Rome; St. Stan's parishioner, Ludi Lipari, who on a 2006 pilgrimage with St. Mary's with her husband, Charlie, had a special encounter with Pope Benedict; and Amanda Gandolf, St. Therese parishioner, who met him with her husband and her children. In 2023, Ignatius Press released a photo album called, Benedict XVI: Servant of Love, in honor of Pope Benedict. Photos of those who saw Pope Benedict in person will be on our webpage.

This show will air on Wilmington Catholic Radio's three stations, 91.7 FM, 93.1 FM, and 103.1 FM on Saturdays at 11 am and Sundays at 6 pm on the first and second weekends of June.  You can listen on-line live by clicking on the Listen Now tab.  Or, listen 24/7 by going to the Carolina Catholic tab and clicking on the show page.

St. Michael the Archangel

Wilmington Catholic Radio is an apostolate serving the Catholic Church and consistently operating in accord with the principles and truths of the Catholic Faith as expressed in Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the living Magisterium of the Church. Our goal is to always provide the community with solid Catholic teaching so Catholics can have an easy way to learn more about their faith, and for non-Catholics to learn what the Church really teaches. This is our mission.
