Carolina Catholic chats with Father Jeffrey Kirby, Moral Theologian and Pastor, about his newest book, Understanding the Bible: A Catholic Guide to Applying God's Word to Your Life Today

For our first October show, Judi Paparozzi and Tara Lewis talk to Father Kirby, Pastor of Our Lady of Grace Parish in Indian Land, South Carolina, about his newest book called, Understanding the Bible. If you have ever wanted to be someone who knows of the eternal value of the Bible and has been moved in your heart to read it but found it hard to navigate and feeling a bit overwhelmed, this is the book for you. In his book, Father provides a quick, easy-to-read summary of that book of the Bible, touching on the history and themes, applying the book to our own issues and struggles today, and offering guidance for getting started reading that specific book.  By growing in confidence and understanding of the Bible, we can discover more fully the words and deeds of God and apply the revelation and wisdom contained in Sacred Scripture to our lives today.

This show will air on Wilmington Catholic Radio's three stations, 91.7 FM, 93.1 FM, and 103.1 FM on Saturdays at 11 am and Sundays at 6 pm on the first two weekends of October.  You can listen on-line live by clicking on the Listen Now tab.  Or, listen 24/7 by going to the Carolina Catholic tab and clicking on the show page.
