From luminarias or farolitos to foods like tamales, biscochitos, and posole, New Mexico observes traditions created from the various cultures that live in this beautiful state like those of the Spanish, Native American, Mexican, and Anglo-American. Combined, these cultures celebrate the birth of our Savior in a unique yet reverent manner that truly reflects the joy of Christ’s birth.
