New Mexico Christmas

Carolina Catholic reports from beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico about the different Christmas traditions observed in this state where host, Judi Paparozzi, attended the College of Santa Fe, a Christian Brothers’ college. From luminarias or farolitos to foods like tamales, biscochitos, and posole, New Mexico observes traditions created from the various cultures that live in this beautiful state like those of the Spanish, Native American, Mexican, and Anglo-American. Combined, these cultures celebrate the birth of our Savior in a unique yet reverent manner that truly reflects the joy of Christ’s birth.
